Condolence: Bloomington has lost a legend and so many have lost a great friend. I am so thankful that I was able to know Hebe and spend a little time with him. He always made me smile. It was never a dull time at The Alley Bar when Hebe was there. The Hanna family loves you. Hugs and kisses, Hebe. Rest well.

Condolence From: Trent Kerr

Condolence: I met Hebe back in the day when the Hop was going strong, before the Barrel. This news is so sad. Bloomington won't be the same without him. He was a legend and that will grow for years to come. Although I moved away from Bloomington years ago, not too much time will go by without my wife and I telling a story about Heb. He was a treasure and we always looked him up when we travelled to town. Our sympathies to family and friends.

Best advice Hebe ever gave me was; one day we were playing golf and I was complaining a lot and didn't know what to do and Hebe simply said, "Just Play Better." Classic Hebe.

He was always glad to see me, quick to serve up my favorite cold beer and slide right into a story or a question ---all of it with a twinkle in his eye.
