Jill Elizabeth Alwine (Alwine)
Jill Elizabeth Alwine, 61, passed away Monday, October 5th, 2015 at IU Health Hospice House.
Born January 1st, 1954 in Bloomington, Indiana, she was the daughter of Ron and Phyllis (Lavender) Fraser.
Jill was a lifelong member of Fairview United Methodist Church. She enjoyed nature and wildlife. Jill was very much a people person and was always willing to help someone if she could. She loved people, her friends and her co-workers.
Jill is survived by her parents, Ron and Phyllis Fraser, of Bloomington; her son, Andrew Gerkin, of Bloomington; brother Tim (Susie) Alwine, of Flora, Indiana; brother Tom (Evelyn) Alwine, of Bloomington; brother Jeff (Donna) Alwine, of Bloomington; and several nieces, nephews, a great niece and two great nephews, all of whom Jill dearly loved.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Alwine Pegg; her grandparents, Tom and Ruth Lavender; and grandparents Elizabeth and Albert Fraser.
A celebration of life will be held from 1-3pm Sunday, October 11th, 2015 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell & Deckard, 3000 E. Third St., in Bloomington. A memorial service will be held at 3pm Sunday.
The family would especially like to thank Kathy from the CVS walk- in clinic and all of Jill’s CVS co-workers for their help and friendship.
Memorial contributions in Jill’s memory may be made to Fairview United Methodist Church.
