Obituary for Buddie C. Hurst

Buddie C. Hurst, 82 of Bloomington passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Born, January 14, 1933 in Washington County, KY; he was the son of Robert E. and Mattie Rose (Bottom).
Buddie was a Technical Representative at Xerox Corporation, retiring after 30 years of service. He was also the co-owner and co-operator of Norma’s Salt Creek Bait and Tackle.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife and caregiver of 61 years, Norma (Sumner) Hurst, children, Steven Hurst (Kathy) of Bloomington, Sheri Dorn of Moscow, ID; Tamra Hurst-Howell (Steve) and Barb Hatton all of Bloomington, nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one brother, William “Billy” Hurst (Charlene) of Plainfield and one sister, Shirley Hooser (Bob) of Mooresville.
Visitation will be 2:00-6:00pm Monday, October 12, 2015 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington, IN 47401.
A memorial service will be 6:00pm at The Funeral Chapel with Jeffrey Sumner officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests the donations be made to the IU Health Hospice House, 2810 S. Deborah Dr. Bloomington, IN 47403.
