Obituary for Ward Lee Humphrey

Ward Lee Humphrey, 84, of Bloomington, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday September 24, 2018 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. Ward was born August 1, 1934 in Bedford, Indiana and was the son of the late Sam Humphrey and Frances Marie (Lee) Meadows.

Ward was a Pentecostal preacher having served many churches through the years, among them The United Pentecostal Church in Unionville, and churches in Brookings, S.D., West Fargo, N.D. and Cedar Lake, IN. He wrote a book and Bible Study called "A Oneness Theology." Besides his ministry, he was a Tradesman specializing in laying tile, floor coverings, hanging drywall and painting. He was also a very social person who knew no stranger and could carry on conversations with just about anyone.

Ward is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Barbara (Vaught) Humphrey, 5 daughters; Catherine Coffman (Dwight), Ronita Reece (Paul), Myra Hackler (Aaron), Sherry Humphrey (Jenny) and Michelle Harding (Jason), son-in-law, Mark Siscoe, 10 grandchildren; Brent Siscoe, Duane Coffman (Sarah), Tiffany Douglas (Nate), Daniel Reece (Shayna), Denae Powless (Darren), Jordana Priessler (Tim), Tara Anderson (Brad), Lance Reece, Jason Lee Harding and Jaqueline Harding, and 14 great grandchildren; Emma, James, Matthew, Catherine, Bryce, Dwight, Ava, Eli, Ella, Gavin, Jemma, Raylan, Arwyn and Isabel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Leah Siscoe, sister, Sandra Sylvester and brother Charles Lavon Humphrey.

Visitation for Ward will be on Saturday September 29, 2018 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Apostolic Bible Church, 3291 S. Walnut St. Pike Bloomington.

Services will be 1:00 pm on Saturday at the church with burial to follow at Knightridge Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Apostolic Bible Church to be given to the charity of the family's choice.
