Obituary for Rodger Lee Fish

Rodger Lee Fish, age 83, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away on June 30, 2018 at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington. Rodger was born on February 13, 1935 in Heltonville, Indiana to Everett O. and Mary Marie (Blackwell) Fish. Rodger was a member of the United States Air Force, and later of the United States Army Reserves. He was a member of the VFW Post 604, American Legion Burton Woolery Post 18, and was a past President of the Eagles Lodge. He retired as a builder, and then began working for Bloomington Shuttle. Rodger enjoyed fishing, golfing, swinging on his front porch, racing, and meeting people, as he did not know a stranger. Rodger loved his family dearly.
Rodger is survived by his children, Rodgeann Griffin (Jim) and Chad Fish (Monica Burch), grandchildren, Brieanna Blume, Elijah Griffin, Ethan Griffin, Jackson Fish, Jameson Fish, and Heather Chance, sister, Phyllis Kinser (Larry), nieces and nephews, Tanya Day, Tony Kinser, Shelle Hume, and Junior Fish, sweetheart, Edna Harlan.
Rodger was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Sue (Gibbs) Fish, step-son, James C. Bauer, brother, Herman Fish (Sally), and significant other, Betty Sales.
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, July 6, 2018 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street, Bloomington, Indiana 47401.
Rodger's funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at The Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at 12:30 P.M. at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Shoals, Indiana.
