Mary Genevieve "Ginny" Canada, age 93, of Bloomington, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018, at Bell Trace Health and Living Center.
Born in Bloomington, Indiana, on May 17, 1925, to Charles and Idas (Chestnut) Rush, Ginny was the sixth of eight children. She is survived by her sons Michael Pruett of Palm Harbor, Florida, and Roger Pruett (Marsha) of Bloomington; daughter Peggy Chambers (Steve) of Bloomington; granddaughter Sheree Branam (Larry); and great-grandchildren Amber Williams, Terra Tritle, Savannah James, and Brady Pruett. She is also survived by her sister Margaret McLaughlin and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband Charles Canada; daughter Judy Richardson; son-in-law Mel Richardson; and three grandsons Randy Richardson, Ben Alexander, and Greg Pruett.
A graveside service will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, June 19 at Rose Hill Cemetery. Those wishing to honor Ginny’s life may contribute in her name to The Monroe County Humane Society or the Foundation of Monroe County Community Schools.
