Renée (Tamigneau) Peneff
Renée (Tamigneau) Peneff, age 93, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away at home on June 6, 2018. She was born in Brussels, Belgium on April 3, 1925 to Auguste and Marie (Hanesse) Tamigneau. Renée was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who loved her family dearly. She took care of everyone by always putting others before herself. She was eager to educate and very much enjoyed doing so. She loved animals and was a wonderful cook.
Renée is survived by her sons, Dr. George Peneff (Lisa) of Bloomington, and Kiril Peneff (Esther) of Queens Creek, Arizona, son-in-law, Darrell Smith, grandchildren, Kristen Ronning (Nick), Michelle Peneff (fiancé Mike), Alexis Peneff, Ashton Peterson, and Deanna Smith, step-grandchildren, Cody Baxter (Nadia) and Trevor Baxter (Julianna), great-grandchildren, Theodore Ronning and Chloe Baxter, and several nieces and nephews.
Renée is preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Peneff, her daughter, Angelina Smith, her parents, her brothers, René and Marcel Tamigneau, and her sisters, Mariette and Josée Tamigneau.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street, Bloomington, Indiana 47401.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at The Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choosing in Renée's name.
