Mark Anthony Sparks, 57, of Bloomington, passed away on Thursday April 5, 2018 at the IU Health Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. Mark was born July 2, 1960 in Bloomington and was the son of the late William and Charlotte (Fennimore) Sparks. He was a 1978 graduate of Bloomington North High School and worked for 28 years as an Equipment Operator with the Monroe County Highway Department.
Mark was a member of Victory Worship Center and he loved spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and camping.
Survivors include his wife Ramona Sparks, 3 sons, Matthew Sparks (Allison), Garret Deckard (Delanie), and Cody Deckard (Sarah Goldman), and 1 daughter, Kristin Deckard. Also surviving is his sister Rosemarie Swinford (Lee) and 8 grandchildren.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jeffrey Sparks
Visitation will be 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm, Sunday April 8, 2018 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington and Monday April 9, 2018 from 10:00 am until service time.
Services will be 11:00 am Monday at The Funeral Chapel with Pastor Justin Rains officiating. Burial will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery.
