Obituary for Jana L. Rechter

Jana L. Rechter of Bloomington, IN passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018.
Jana was born November 7, 1959 in Lafayette, IN to Richard and Susan Rechter .

Jana, Lovingly known as Yahya by her grandchildren is survived by her loving parents, son, Samuel J. Clemens (Andrea), daughter, Kathryn L. Valentine (Jason), step-daughter, Sarah Benson (Jacob), step-son, Elliott Pickel, her seven grandchildren, Gabriel, Sena, Kayla, Sam Jr., Mason, Isabel and Graham, and her siblings, Richard Rechter II (Suzanne), Barbara Mullenger (Keith), and David Rechter (Suzanne).

She was preceded in death by her sister Nancy Jones and the love of her life, Jerry W. Pickel.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. with a celebration of life following at 5:30 p.m. at The Funeral Chapel, 3000 E. Third Street, Bloomington, IN 47401.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jana’s name can be made to The Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org
