Obituary for
Rebecca Lynn Rout
Rebecca L. Rout, 59, of Fishers, passed away Friday, March 9, 2018 at home in her sleep.
Born, April 25, 1958 in Vincennes, Indiana, she was the daughter of Robert and Sharon (Hart) Rout.
Rebecca attended high school at Columbus North before graduating from Greenwood High School.
She was a Certified Property Manager for Weinenger-Stolberg before taking a management position in Indianapolis.
Rebecca was a loving daughter who had a generosity and love of animals. She cared for her Palomino Horse at the age of 13 and many cats and dogs over the years. She was a volunteer at the Indianapolis Zoo and she was a beautiful decorator and an avid snow skier.
She was baptized in the North Christian Church in Columbus, IN.
Survivors include her son, Shaun Moran, grandson, Jacob both of Greenwood, parents, Robert and Sharon Rout, sister, Cynthia Powers all of Bloomington, brother, Brian Rout and his wife Margo of Columbus, nieces and nephew, Stephanie and Jennifer of Columbus, Ashley of Indianapolis, and Andrew of Atlanta.
The family will receive friends from 3-5pm Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. in Bloomington.
A memorial service will be 5:00pm Tuesday, March 20, 2018 with Pastor Andrew Kort officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Monroe County Humane Association, 3410 S. Walnut St. Bloomington, IN 47401.
