Alice Faye Rainey, age 80, passed away at Meadowood Assisted Living Community in Bloomington, Indiana on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. Alice was born on September 13, 1937 to William and Florence Prange. Alice enjoyed spending time with friends and family, reading, shopping, and most of all she enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Grace Fellowship.
Alice is survived by her four daughters, Earla Ballin of Edna, Texas, LaDonna Persinger, Kristie Oakley (Jim), and Lisa Porter (Rod) all of Bloomington, Indiana, three brothers, Jerry Prange (Rosalee) of North Vernon, Indiana, Chris Prange of Bloomington, and Edgar Prange (Jackie) of Greenfield, Indiana, nine grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Katherine Rainey, brothers, Donald, Golie, and Michael, and sisters, Helen and Hilda.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday, October 2, 2017 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street, Bloomington, Indiana 47401.
Graveside services will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery in Bloomington. Pastor Bob Clendening will officiate.
Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Alice.
