G. Michael "Mike" Stevens
Gary Michael "Mike" Stevens, 71, of Indianapolis passed away Friday, August 25, 2017 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born, March 14, 1946 in Bloomington, he was the son of Don and Margaret (May) Stevens.
Mike was an avid participant at Rock Steady Boxing for Parkinson's Disease in Brownsburg.
He was a 1964 graduate of University High School in Bloomington and earned a Bachelor's Degree from Indiana State University in Terre Haute.
Mike served his country for the National Guard for six years.
He was a Customer Service Representative for Chase Bank, retiring from Chase Tower in downtown Indianapolis.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Carol Ann Stevens, son, Michael Patrick Stevens (Mandy) and their children, Annie, Georgia, and Tallulah, daughter, Melissa May Hardesty (Danny), and their son, Reese Hardesty all of Indianapolis, mother, Margaret Stevens of Bloomington, sister, Patricia Grace Stevens-Corbett of New York, NY; step-children, Sonia Glen and family, Stacie Garrison and family, and Roger Glover Jr.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Don Stevens, maternal grandparents, John and Dorothy May, and paternal grandparents, Fred and Lula Stevens.
Visitation will be 4-8pm Tuesday, August 29, 2017 and 12:30-1:30pm Wednesday at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington, IN 47401.
Funeral services will be 1:30pm Wednesday at The Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery.
