Obituary for Becky Bobilya Gregory

Becky Bobilya Gregory died peacefully at home on Sunday, July 23, 2017. She was born in Ft. Wayne, IN September 12, 1945 and moved to Bloomington at age 11. She graduated from University School in 1963 and from Randolph-Macon Women's College in 1967. She taught at Bement School in Deerfield, MA; and Renbrook School in West Hartford, CT. She returned to Bloomington to work as a secretary at Beck Analytical Services. She married Fred Hodge Gregory on April 20, 1974 and later assisted him as a legal secretary. She volunteered extensively at Rodgers and Binford Elementary Schools. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis J. “Sandy” Bobilya and Ruth B. Beck, and her husband, Fred H. Gregory. She is survived by her brothers, Louis J. “Jerry” Bobilya of Black Mountain, NC; and Carl W. Beck of Boston, MA; and her sister, Barbara Bashour of Beirut, Lebanon, her children, Charles H. Gregory (Marilyn) of Bloomington, Martha L. Hylton (Chad) of Baltimore, MD; and Megan C. Thompson (Jay) of Jamestown, OH; and grandchildren, Madelyn and Miranda Gregory, Morgan and Reilly Hylton, Nick, Chris, Collin and Sean Thompson, as well as nephews, Paul Wolf, Andrew and Dana Bobilya, Hani, Sami and Ramzi Bashour and one niece, Cathrine Wolf. Private graveside services will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis at a later date.
