Betty Jean Sparks
Betty Jean (McCain) Sparks, 85, of Bloomington, died on Saturday, April 29 at Stonecroft Health Care in Bloomington.
Born June 16, 1931 in Bedford, Indiana, she was the daughter of Harley and Elsie (Jackson) McCain.
On January 17,1954, she married James R. Sparks and they resided in Bloomington, Indiana.
She was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church and Eastern Star Stanford Chapter.
Survivors include two sons and their spouses, Terry and Jill Sparks and Tim and Cathy Sparks of Bloomington. Grandchildren: Bethany Ward (Grant), Jodi Neal (Scot), Kimberlin Crook (JD), Cody, Elli and Troy Sparks. Great grandchildren: Evan and Wyatt Ward, CJ Flannery, Jesse and Samuel Neal and Timothy Jay Crook. Sister Evelyn Sims of Bloomington and brother Robert McCain of Avon Park, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Sparks in 2002.
Funeral Services will be held at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St. on Wednesday May 3, 2017 at 1:30. Rev. Ray New officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be on Tuesday May 2, 2017 from 4-8 at the funeral home and one hour prior to the funeral.
