Janice E. Rafferty, age 72, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away on January 29, 2017 at Garden Villa in Bloomington. Janice was born to Ira George and Pauline Fern (Noel) Rafferty on November 17, 1944 in Odon, Indiana. Janice, who was a devout Christian, was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Bloomington. She was an avid IU basketball fan and always enjoyed receiving pictures of her family.
Janice is survived by her sister, Georgia Tucker of Bloomington, Indiana, brother, David Rafferty (Karen) of Belleair Bluffs, Florida, sister-in-law, Carol Rafferty, nephews and nieces, Cody Tucker, Tami Martindale, Terry Tucker, Melissa Burton, Amy Rafferty, Chet Rafferty, Curt Rafferty, and several great nieces and nephews.
Janice is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Clyde Rafferty.
A visitation for Janice will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Friday, February 3, 2017 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street, Bloomington, Indiana 47401.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm at The Funeral Chapel following visitation. Entombment will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens after the funeral.
