Calvin Cain passed away on Friday January 27, 2017 at home with his family. He was born September 21, 1955 to Ralph and Mary (Huber) Cain.
Calvin spent most of his working life in the construction industry as a supervisor for many local companies; he was well known and respected.
Most of all, Calvin loved his family, whether riding horses or ATV’s or just sitting by the fire on summer evenings telling his many stories. His children were his pride and joy.
Calvin is survived by his wife, Katherine (Demshar), children Callen and Logan Cain, Catti (Joe) Pursell and grandson Hunter, goddaughter Ashley (Josh) Karshen and her daughters Emma and Aubrey, siblings; JoAnne (Tyrone) Browning, Claris Sturgis, Curtis (Teresa) Cain, Clyde (Bonnie) Cain, Carl (Mary) Cain, and brother in law Harry Scott.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Christine Cain and Alice Scott and brothers, Charles, Cecil, and Carol (Buck) Cain.
Visitation for Calvin will be from 4-8 pm Tuesday January 31, 2017 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington and from noon until service time on Wednesday.
Services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday February 1, 2017 at The Funeral Chapel with Pastor Don Campbell officiating.
