Obituary for Dorothy A. Richardson

Dorothy A. Richardson, 81, of Bloomington, passed away at her residence on Sunday January 8, 2017. Dorothy was born July 17, 1935 in Bloomington to the late Russell and Lola (Sexton) Fulford.
Dorothy enjoyed fishing and being with her family. She also enjoyed playing games on her computer, feeding Angel cheese puffs, mushroom hunting and crocheting. Dorothy worked for MCCSC schools and later she worked for MCL Cafeteria where she retired.
She married William L. Richardson on July 28, 1951 and he preceded her in death on January 28, 1994. Together they had seven children that survive, 3 sons; Robert of Bloomfield, Richard of Martinsville, and Ivan of Bloomington, 4 daughters; Julie, Diana, Vivian and Karen all of Bloomington along with 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 2 brothers, Ray and David Fulford.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents and 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Visitation will be on Wednesday January 11, 2017 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington.
Graveside services will follow the visitation on Wednesday at 1:30 pm at Hindustan Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given in Dorothy’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
