Mary Frances Harris, 93, of Bloomington passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017 at Garden Villa.
Born, June 11, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Emma Frances Davis.
Mary was a devoted longtime member of the Lighthouse Apostolic Church.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and her church family.
Survivors include her children, Willy Harris of Indianapolis, James George, Margie Harris, Robert Harris (Nancy), Charlie Harris and Ambrose Harris all of Bloomington, grandchildren, Charles Irvin “CI”, Chuckie, Bethann “Buffy”, Patin Earl, Toni, Burshone, Desiree, Thelma, Afton, Kimberly, Nate, Sierra, Gina, Chris, Amber, Tony, Angie, and Derrick, and 25 great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Patin Harris, two daughters, Emma Franklin, and Ammie Hartfield and one son, Beaufort Harris.
Visitation will be 10am-12pm Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Lighthouse Apostolic Church, 850 E. Winslow Rd. Bloomington, IN 47401.
Funeral services will be 12:00pm Saturday at the church with Bishop Charles Finnell and Pastor Anthony Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
The family would like to thank the staff at stations two, four, and six at Garden Villa for the compassionate care they provided for Mary.
The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. in Bloomington is handling arrangements.
