Obituary for Robert Keith "R.K." Mosier

Robert Keith "R.K." Mosier
Robert Keith “R.K.” Mosier II, 41, of Bloomington, passed away at his residence on Friday December 23, 2016. R.K. was born April 22, 1975 in Bloomington and was the son of Alta (Masters) Parker and Harry William “Bill” Mosier.
R.K. was a wonderful father, husband, son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, nephew and cousin and Friend to MANY. He was employed by Turf N Tree with Mother Nature Landscaping.
R.K. graduated from BHSS. R.K. married Susan J. (Pinkowski) Mosier on September 6, 2003 and they recently celebrated 20 years of being together. His love for baseball continued from High School to playing Men’s Softball, which then continued with coaching his two boys Ethan and Isaac through basketball and baseball. He was a Scout Leader with his boys and had a tremendous love for Archery with the boys and being outdoors. His most proud moments were with his boys playing ball, hunting, fishing as well as watching IU Basketball. His desire to be a chef was evident in his love for cooking (smoking) food with and for close friends and family. If it would fit on a grill or in a smoker he could cook it.
Along with his wife Susan, survivors include his two boys Ethan (12), and Isaac (10), mother Alta Parker (Jim Hollars), brothers, Jason Mosier (Amanda), Aaron Mosier, sister, Megan Young, grandmother, Violet (Eads) Masters, many Aunts, Uncles, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, brother and sisters-in-law.
Preceding him in death were his father Harry William “Bill” Mosier, maternal grandfather, Robert Masters, paternal grandparents, Robert and Doris Mosier, and uncle Jerry Chambers.
Visitation for R.K. will be Wednesday December 28, 2016 from 2-7 pm at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 pm at The Funeral Chapel with Brother Joe Nelson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions/donations can be made in R.K.’s memory to the Mosier Family for his boys.
