George Feaster
George Feaster exchanged his old body and now celebrates his new life, mind and body in heaven with our Lord, Jesus Christ. Born April 10, 1930 in Owensboro, Kentucky, he attended St. John's Catholic Church where he served as Lay Minister for many years. He proudly served his country while enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On February 27, 1954,
George married Oma Lee Lucas. Together they raised seven children. George spent his career as a banker and retired from Bank One. He was preceded in death by his father (William Allen Feaster); step father (George Montgomery); mother (Mayme "China" Montgomery); half-brother (Tony Montgomery) and sister (Virginia). Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Oma Feaster; one daughter Jean Hall (husband Dave); six sons, Bill (wife Tina); Ed (wife Rebecca), Don (wife Marilyn); Mickey (wife Linda); Larry; and Steve (wife Christina); and ten grandchildren (Tommy, Heidi, Kyle, Paul, Cameron, Jennifer, Matt, Annie, Tabitha and Joel).
Friends may call at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington on Friday April 22, 2016 from 4-8 pm where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm. Visitation will also be held on Saturday from 9:00 am until service time at the church.
Funeral services will be held at St. John's the Apostle Catholic Church 4607 West State Road 46, on Saturday April 23, 2016 at 10:00 am with burial immediately following at Valhalla Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Premier Hospice.
