Obituary for Virgie Caves

Virgie Caves, 97, of Bloomington, passed away Monday, January 18th, 2016 at Golden Living Center.
Born June 11th, 1918 in Hazard, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Sam and Hanna (West) Rice.
Virgie loved to quilt and she loved her family. Her family was her life.
Virgie is survived by her four sons, Eddie Caves (Helen) of Unionville, Steve Caves of Spencer, Charles Caves (Barb) of Spencer, and David Caves (Rolanda) of Tyler, TX; her two daughters, Charlotte Treanor (Kim) of Bloomington, and Jane Chambers (Lee) of Bloomington; her sister, Celler Ingals of Austin, IN; twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Caves Jr., her parents, three brothers, four sisters, and granddaughter Theresa Maria Clapp.
Funeral services for Virgie will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 23rd, 2016 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St., in Bloomington. Judy Howard-Stater will preside.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of service on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Virgie’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
