Obituary for Shirley J May

Shirley J. May, 75, of Bloomington, passed away early Sunday morning at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Shirley was born June 2, 1940 to Alva and Lottie (Davis) May. She was a member of the Apostolic Bible Church since 1986 and had previously worked at Leonard’s Home Laundry and Bloomington Hospital in laundry services.
Survivors include one sister, niece, Cindy (John) Bowers whom she was very close to, and also survived by several other nieces and nephews and cousins. She was so blessed to have her angel Patty Hillenburg who took such good care of her. Also, Joan (Raymond) Mitchner, Dale and Ann Hall who all did so much for her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, , sisters; Sue Hickman, and Flossie Shaffer and 2 infant sisters Joyce and Jewell, and brothers Fred May and Lloyd May.
Services for Shirley will be 1:00 pm Wednesday January 6, 2016 at the Apostolic Bible Church, 3291 S. Walnut Street Pike, Bloomington. Pastor Duane Coffman will officiate the service and burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from noon until service time on Wednesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be given in Shirley’s memory to the Apostolic Bible Church.
