Vivian Irene Robertson, 93, of Bloomington passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born, April 7, 1922 in Monroe County, she was the daughter of Edward and Leota (Terrell) Patton.
Vivian was an assembler for Sarkas Tarzian and a cook for the Monroe County School Corporation.
She was a member of the Burgoon Baptist Church where she loved being involved in all church activities.
Vivian was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed garage sales, camping, fishing, singing and spending time with her family.
Survivors include two sons, David Robertson (Patty) of Bloomington, Mike Robertson (Carolyn) of Springville, one daughter, Janet Payne (Sonny) of Lakeland, FL; nine grandchildren, Tresa Entz (Jeff), Debbie Robertson-Prince (Matt), Cindy Cain (Jim), Steve Robertson (Cindy), Samuel Robertson (Eve), Rebecca Lanier (Corey), Tim Payne (Crystal), Jody Payne and Melissa Evans (Brian), several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Homer W. Robertson, one grandson, Doug Payne, one brother, Marion Patton, one step-great grandson, Joseph Smith and her parents.
Services will be 1:00pm Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. in Bloomington. Brother Harold Godsey will preside. Burial will follow at Salt Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday 11am-1pm at The Funeral Chapel.
The family would like to thank Harold and Ruth Godsey and the staff at IU Health Hospice for their kindness and professionalism. They would like to extend a special thanks to her beloved grandson, Jody Payne who was her long time caregiver.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Burgoon Baptist Church, 8598 E. Burgoon Church Rd. Bloomington, IN 47401.
