Upon retirement, he moved to his beloved Florida family home in 1988, where he lived and relished life on Anna Maria Island until July 9, 2013. Bill was a member of the Nashville United Methodist Church, the Nashville Indiana Lodge #135 Free and Accepted Masons and a lifetime member of the National Corvette Museum Foundation. He loved all things Chevrolet, Corvette and the Indianapolis 500, watching the Greatest Spectacle in Auto Racing for the 70th time this past May from his favorite seat in Box 13, Row X Seat 1 . Bill will be remembered as a kind and benevolent man, who was always the first to help a friend in need and who always made sure that service workers received generous gratuities for their efforts. At his request, no funeral services were held. A “Celebrate Bill” event will be held at a later date.
